Introducing Zinnia

Bombay Sprout launches its new homeware collection for summer, the Zinnia Collection.

Designed in Norfolk and hand block printed by artisans in India.

This nostalgic, nature-inspired capsule collection draws inspiration from the romantic beauty of the English country garden met with the vibrant flora of India.

Cushions and quilts come in a series of combinations of block-printed Mughal flower motifs with checks and stripes; the addition of embroidered detailing, ruffles and scallop edging, all in fresh greens, pinks, blues and yellows, results in a collection that encapsulates the joyous, timeless East meets West aesthetic that is so central to the brand.

When designing the collection, founder Zara Bolingbroke-Kent looked to one of her favourite places, the walled garden at her childhood home in Norfolk, a tranquil, sun-dappled spot where rambling roses climbed the old stone walls. Also woven throughout the new collection are nods to Zara’s deep knowledge and love of India, a country she first fell for when she went travelling there at the age of 18 years.

The new collection - named after the brightly-hued Zinnia flower, a symbol of love, friendship and a zest for life - comprises cushions (from £70) and quilts (coming soon, from £145), all of them handmade in India.

We hope you love it as much as we loved creating it!
