I have named this rug Ganesha, as the flower is rather like a three headed Marigold and Lord Ganesha represents this sacred flower of India. The Marigold is seen everywhere in India and are used for medicinal, garlands and decorative purposes as well as ornamental plants. They are used for pretty much every Indian festival and very pretty, joyful flowers. This design is hand woven by our artisans in Jaipur, some of which are fourth generation weavers. I am proud to be part of their journey and long may it continue.
