Zara’s love of Dhurrie rugs and the ancient form of weaving was sparked 17 years ago, when she travelled to India to create bespoke rugs for her Interior Design business. The Dhurrie has been around for centuries in India and each rug is hand woven and takes up to 3 months to produce, being a real labour of love. We work closely with our clients and can produce a rug that is bespoke and unique to them.
"Made slow, to live long"
All over the world, artisans are coming under threat from mass production and we want to create a sanctuary for artisans, valuing slow production over fast, the human hand over machine and natural materials over the synthetic.
