Brighter Days Ahead

Spring has well and truly sprung, and Bombay Sprout is blooming with joyous, life-affirming colour. From vibrant ceramics and glassware in zesty shades to our rugs that come in the full spectrum of the rainbow, we’ve everything you need to create a fresh, uplifting look. Here are five of founder Zara’s favourite pieces to brighten up your home this springtime.

Pitcher perfect

Add pizzaz to your table with this pink-and-red-checked enamel jug. Hand-painted in Pakistan, each one is totally unique, making it the perfect stand-out-from-the-crowd receptacle for a bunch of seasonal flowers, water or, if the mood takes you, a batch of refreshing mojitos.

Dish of the day

Nothing says fiesta like this large ceramic serving bowl, beautifully hand-painted in Madrid especially for Bombay Sprout. Adorned with a bright red flower and patterned border, this prettily bold design will bring cheery vibes to any dinner party (and it’s dishwasher-safe, too).

Glass act

These orange Murano tumblers evoke memories of glorious sunsets - and what’s not to love about that? Inspired by the classic Murano ‘Goto’ glass, each one is handblown by master glass blowers on the island of Murano. We love the murrina detailing and the elegantly tapered shape.

Heart and soul

Bring a splash of colour to drying the dishes with this exquisitely designed natural linen Mon Coeur Tea Towel from Avenida Home. Designed by French artist Nathalie Lété, the eye-catching nature-inspired print is perfect for anyone who wants to make a statement in their kitchen.

Flower power

Say it with flowers with our Lodhi Floral Flatweave Rug. Florals have always played a huge part in Indian heritage, with the first block prints featuring Poppies, Marigolds and Plumeria. We’ve put our own spin on these blooms, incorporating them into this standout rug, which has been handwoven in the hills outside Jaipur.
